90: Leopard print nails

Hello :)

It's Australia day today so I stayed home and my aunt came over for a manicure. I also had time this morning to make a leopard print design. This is very simple to do and you don't have to be neat at all. I think the leopard prints look more realistic when it's a bit sloppy :)

This was my inspiration..

A pretty scarf I got from my boyfriend's aunt.

I used Zoya's Harley as the base and Jo for the leopard spots. I also used L.A. Colors Art Deco's Nail Art Lacquer in black for the outline.

First I painted on 3 coats of Zoya's Harley for an even base.

Then I randomly placed 'blobs' of Zoya's Jo all over the nail. I like to start in the middle and work my way to the sides.

After the spots dried I took L.A. Colors Art Deco Nail Art Lacquer and roughly outlined the spots to give it that leopard-y effect. Let it all dry for a few minutes and you're done!

Matchy matchy :)

  1. Great design, I love the blue and white!

  2. I do the pen thing too, haha! It's great.

This is super cute and I love that you used a powder blue.

  3. Hi Gildedangel :)

Thank you! I'm really into those Zoya polishes huh? I thought that this colour combo was a bit more subtle xx

  4. Hey Asami!

You know what? I actually got the idea from your tutorials! I thought that it was such a great idea and I had lots of pens lying around you know those glitter ones we used to use in highschool haha. Sorry I should've credited you :)

  5. Oh, no worries! The pen thing is so handy because you can rotate the nail any way. I'm glad it's a useful tip. :)

  6. Your boyfriend's aunt is cool! lol
I really like that design, it's awesome!
I can't free hand anymore so I use my Konad lol

  7. Great design, I like this better than the one by Konad :-D

  8. Hi Asami!

It is soo useful. I love using your techniques. Blog more please :D

  9. Hi Technopathetic <3

She was pretty cool hahah. We had lots of fun in China. I use Konad too it's great! I'm so glad you like this look. I hope you can try it out and show us sometime! Good luck :D

  10. Hi Michèle

First things first. Your pictures are BEAUTIFUL! Simply amazing :D I prefer freehand because with Konad I would have to repeat over and over again and wipe over and over again. I'm lazy like that haha :)

  11. Hi Lily Nail :D

Thank you. I'm glad you like it! xx
